Doha: Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi exuded confidence they will be able to maintain form against Al Rayyan in the fifth round of QNB Stars League on Friday.
The Tunisian gave a day’s break to the players after their fourth-round 2-1 victory against Al Kharitiyat last Saturday.
“Everyone is aware of the upcoming match. It’s an important match, and if we win against Rayyan it’ll help us to improve our position in the competition,” Trabelsi said in his comments on the club’s website.
Sailiya, who finished fourth in the 2013-14 season, are currently fifth behind Rayyan with three wins and a defeat.
The team looked good in the last couple of games, and should they win on Friday it will give them a real boost.
“We need to play our normal game. If we do that, we can challenge Rayyan. But we must not be complacent,” said the former Tunisian national coach, who joined in 2013-14.
