There'll be no extra time in Emir Cup, confirms QFA

Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) Head of Competitions Ali Hamoud Nuaimi held a technical meeting for Emir Cup with team representatives on Saturday.

It was decided that all games would be decided via penalties if the match fails to produce any outright winner in the stipulated 90 minutes as there will be no extra time.

It was also decided that dates could be changed for Al Duhail, Al Sadd, Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa, who are playing in the AFC Champions League.

The Emir Cup, which is Qatar’s most popular football tournament, will end on May 19.
