THE Blue Eye continued his fine run of form to win the Thoroughbred Trophy Trial last week.
It was Khalifa bin Sheail Al Kuwari-owned colt’s seventh straight victory under champion jockey Harry Bentley.
In the 2,200M race, Bentley kept Jassim Mohammed Al Ghazali-schooled The Blue Eye within striking distance of early leader Life Imitates Art. And coming on to the final stretch, Bentley and his partner eased ahead.
Deborah Mountain’s Ponfeigh chased the 2016 HH The Emir’s Trophy winner before finishing a little over a length behind The Blue Eye. Stefano Ibido’s Nayef Dancer came in third.
