Rayyan's Al Saadi undergoes cruciate ligament surgery at Aspetar

Doha: Al Rayyan forward Ahmed Al Saadi underwent an operation for cruciate ligament repair at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar. He suffered the injury during their 2-0 victory against Qatar SC in Round 7 of the QNB Stars League on 3rd November.

Al Saadi will miss the rest of the season as he needs at least six months to fully recover from the injury. The team management, technical staff and players wished him a speedy recovery.

Al Rayyan will resume training on Wednesday ahead of their high-profile Round 8 clash with Al Arabi, scheduled for 19th November. The Lions are second in the standings with 18 points, one behind Al Duhail.

They had qualified for the QSL Cup semifinals with victory over Umm Salal in the fourth round with one match to spare.
