QATAR’S Jassim Al Muraikhi won the Emir’s Cup, beating South Africa’s Francois Louw 505-473 in the two-game final at the Qatar Bowling Center last Sunday.
Jassim and Louw became richer by $10,000 and $6,000 as the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour season opener saw top 16 players from the continent being awarded Tour ranking points.
“The sport has developed in Qatar and the region, and I thank the Qatar Bowling Federation for its wonderful work,” said ABF President Sheikh Talal Al Mohammad Al Sabah.
Meanwhile, the ABF’s Executive Committee meeting was held on the tournament’s sidelines.
“The committee discussed many issues including identifying prospective sponsors for the ABF competitions and creating new sub-committees,” added Sheikh Talal.
