Doha: Qatar beat Palestine 3-0 in international friendly here at the Khalifa International Stadium here on Tuesday evening.
Almoez Ali opened the scoring with a firm header in the third minute after he met with a cross from the right by captain Hassan Al Haidous.
Ali had also scored in his team’s 1-0 win against China 1-0 last Friday.
Akram Afif added the second in the 20th minute with a neat finish inside the box, beating the outstretched arms of Palestine goalkeeper.
Al Haidous, who was in great form, also got into the scoresheet on the 30th when he capitalized on a rebound after Boualem Khoukhi effort ricocheted off the post.
Qatar coach Felix Sanchez will be happy with the team’s performance as the win will boost their confidence ahead of Asian Cup in the UAE in January.
The Spaniard wants to play several friendlies with various teams to ensure the best preparation for his side in the continental competition.
