Doha: The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) has received an invitation to attend the Federation of International Basketball’s (FIBA) 2017 Class of the FIBA Hall of Fame induction ceremony September 29 in Mies, Switzerland.
“We’re thankful for FIBA’s invitation and honored to be part of this ceremony,” said QBF President Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Muftah. “The Hall of Fame concept is to appreciate those who’ve helped form and shape the sport.”
USA's Dream Team of Shaquille O'Neal and Toni Kukoc headline a star-studded list from seven different countries across three continents that make up the FIBA Hall of Fame's Class of Inductees.
The Dream Team was the USA’s first-ever Olympic team to feature active NBA players. It is widely regarded as the greatest team ever assembled in all of sport as it consisted of legends Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone as well as 2013 FIBA Hall of Fame Inductee David Robinson.
