Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) will celebrate this year’s National Sports Day (NSD) by organising several events and activities in partnership with local entities and organisations.
The NSD will be held on February 13, with several government and private organisations are likely to have activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The QFA along with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Qatar Stars League will organise a football tournament for its staff at Aspire ground.
The QFA and Qatar Shell will also host their award-winning corporate social responsibility programme Koora Time at Katara.
The event will offer visitors a variety of football activities, including a ‘head-to- head’ dribbling challenge, a ‘Dive and Save’ goalkeeping competition, a virtual reality goalkeeper game, open play football and aerobics classes.
The programme, which was launched in 2013, is designed to improve the health and well-being of young people through football.
