Doha: The second edition of Chelsea Foundation Coaching Clinic, organised by the Qatar Football Association (QFA), started here on Sunday.
Besides imparting lessons to 120 age-group players, the clinic also aims to benefit the local coaches by giving them the opportunity to learn specific skills and techniques under Chelsea International Football Development Officer Zak Wooster and four assistants.
Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi, Sami Traboulsi, Philippe Burle, Amine Frikha, Aberrazak Hedider, Dragam Tadic, Silvio Diliberto, Ouajdi Boussarsar are taking part in the clinic.
“The QFA-Chelsea Foundation Coaching Clinic is an example of the fruitful technical partnerships that QFA signs with various football associations, academies, and clubs around the world,” said QFA Director of Football Development Department Fahad Thani.
The clinic will train the expatriate children from different schools followed by intensive coaching to promising youngsters representing different clubs under the QFA.
Wissam Rizk, Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Aboutrika, Said Al Basheer, Ali Al Ahraq, Younes Ali, Ezzat Gadoo, and Abdullah Koni will assist the Chelsea Foundation’s coaches in delivering the sessions to the young players.
