Doha: Al Rayyan notched up their third successive wins in the QNB Stars League when they thrashed Qatar Sports Club 4-0 here on Sunday.
In-form striker Abderrazaq Hamdallah (25th and 37th minutes) scored a double while Mohsine Moutouali (62nd) and Rodrigo Tabata (83rd).
Rayyan, who had an unimpressive start in AFC Champions League last week, ended the QSL weekend on 39 points while Qatar stayed on 18.
Hamdallah, who took his goals tally to 15, opened the scoring when he was put through by Moroccan international Moutouali while South Korean Koh Myong-Jin paved the way for his second.
Qatar had put up a determined effort in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to quell their opponents, who struck their third at the hour mark.
Qatar had their best chance when Ali Awad found himself unmarked in front of the goal in the 80th minute, but goalkeeper Saoud Al Khater blocked his shot.
Tabata rounded off the score three minutes later when he linked up with Sebastian Soria, who replaced Hamdallah in the 68th minute.
