France won the Third Jeem Cup football tournament for boys in the 11-12 age group.
In the final played at the Lekhwiya Stadium last week, they defeated Morocco 11-10 in sudden death after regulation time ended 2-2.
Kuwait beat Bahrain 4-2 to finish third.
Twenty teams competed in the event, organised by Jeem TV, in association with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), beIN Sports, Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).
HE Sheikha Jawahar bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, Minister of Culture and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali, QOC Vice-President Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Thani, SC Secretary General Hassan Al Thawadi and a host of other officials attended the final, played in front of a strong crowd which comprised children from various schools in Qatar.
