Fahad Al Haddad and Cristopher Oketch (Kenya) emerged as winners in national and expatriate category respectively at the Fourth Qatar’s Strongest Man challenge, organised by the Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) last week.
Competitors had to complete a number of intense challenges, such as lifting weights as well as sand bags, flipping giant tyres, and pulling truck and car.
“It was far more challenging this year and I’m very proud to have won a second time. The atmosphere at the arena was incredible. The support and encouragement from the spectators really helped us keep going,” said Fahad.
More than 1,500 enthusiasts thronged the venue at the Aspire Zone and cheered the competitors on all the way.
AZF Events Manager Abdullah Al Khater said, “Qatar’s Strongest Man is yet another success story of the Aspire Zone Foundation, which encourages the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle by hosting sports events throughout the year.”
