Community league turns out to be hit

Family entertainment took centre stage as more than 3,000 spectators flocked to the Aspire Dome for the grand finale of six-month-long Qatar Community Football League (QCFL), a grass-roots initiative sponsored by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and Aspire Zone Foundation.

More than 500 children enjoyed bouncy castles, football target practice, face painting and cuisine.

Six QCFL teams played in the finals, with Barcadoha, Aspire Utd and Parkhouse all walking away with honours.

The 2017-18 QCFL season will begin in September.
