Breeders' Cup, one of the most prestigious events on the thoroughbred horse racing calendar, on Wednesday announced a new partnership with the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club.
The brands will exchange presenting sponsor titles at their respective races: the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint in San Diego, California and The H.H Emir's Sword Festival in Doha.
The partnership will launch next month with the Breeders' Cup Dukhan Sprint at The H.H Emir's Sword Festival, a three-day event at Doha's Al Rayyan Racecourse.
"We are thrilled to take this next step in expanding our relationship with the renowned Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club," said Breeders' Cup president and CEO Craig Fravel in a joint press release.
"As we look to ways to elevate our international presence with similar caliber thoroughbred racing leaders around the world, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club is a natural fit."
Qatar Racing general manager Nasser Sherida Al Kaabi said: "The Breeders' Cup World Championship is one of the most iconic international race meetings in the World and the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club is very proud to have formed this prestigious partnership."
