Aspire Lake Festival, an artistic masterpiece

Aspire Lake Festival, an artistic masterpiece

Doha: More than ten thousand community members of all ages gathered in Aspire Park on Thursday to be a part of the opening day of the ‘Aspire Lake Festival’. Organised by Aspire Zone Foundation in collaboration with Katara and Ooredoo, this is the first time such an event has been organised in Qatar.

Starting at 7:30 pm, the Aspire Lake was transformed into an artistic masterpiece featuring more than 24 Italian performers led by acclaimed art director Robert Corona. They put on a breath-taking Venetian-inspired show comprising elegant and artistic singing, dancing, water, fire and air shows, performed in custom-built sets and props including Gondolas and a Lotus flower.

The Aspire Lake Festival reinforces Aspire Zone Foundation’s position as a leading events organiser that brings unique and diverse experiences and activities to Doha. With world-class facilities and extensive experience and capabilities building on its heritage in sporting events, Aspire Zone Foundation’s programme provides entertainment and cultural activities for all members of the community.

“The team of experts at Aspire Logistics, a member organisation of Aspire Zone Foundation specialising in hosting major events for local community members, always go above and beyond. They travel extensively around the world to identify the best and most unique sporting and entertainment events to bring to Qatar and make available to members of the community here. Tonight’s event, which is held for the first time in the Middle East, is a perfect example of that. The November breeze made it even more enjoyable,” said Nasser Abdullah Al-Hajri, Director of PR and Communications at AZF.

The Aspire Lake Festival will run throughout the weekend, on Friday and Saturday, with two shows performed each day. The first show starts at 7:30 pm and the second at 9:30 pm. More information about the event can be found at www.lifeinaspire.qa.
