QATAR’S Abdullah Al Tamimi went down fighting 12-10, 10-12, 8-11, 8-11 to Malaysia’s Ivan Yuen in the semifinal of Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour Pittsburgh Open in the US last week.
Al Tamimi was seeded third in the $25,000 PSA M25 Series Tournament.
He beat Canadian qualifier Shawn Delierre 11-7, 6-11, 11-1, 11-9 in the opening round.
The 22-year-old then beat local boy Todd Harrity 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9 in the quarterfinal. But in the last-four clash, Yuen proved too good for Al Tamimi.
Egypt’s Zayed Mohamed won the tournament, beating Yuen 12-10, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7 in the final.
