Doha: Al Ahli stormed past Qatar Sports Club 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17) in the second of their best of three semifinals to enter the Emir Cup final. Ahli had to withstand a stiffer resistance from Qatar SC in the semifinal first leg on Thursday, before prevailing 3-1 (25-13, 20-25, 25-22, 31-29), but they proved a class apart at the Qatar Volleyball Association Indoor Hall on Saturday.

Defending champions Rayyan showed their class in the nick of time to beat Arabi 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 17-15) in the first leg on Friday.
French star N’Gapeth led the efforts of Al Rayyan Club with 24 points. His 21 points from the attack included six blocks as well. Murcus netted 19, with 18 coming from the net play. Bilal and Mubarak Dahi Waleed added precious 10 each and William Bermudez got seven.
