The Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) will organise 11 tournaments as part of its third Ramadan Sports Festival. More than 1,000 residents are expected to participate in various competitions during the festival beginning on July 2.

The zone, boasting ultra-modern facilities, will host football, basketball, handball and other tournaments as well as new competitions like remote-controlled car races.

The competitions for women and disabled will be organised in association with the Qatar Women’s Sport Committee and Qatar Paralympic Committee respectively. The entry for all tournaments is free.

Meanwhile, the residents can join the AZF’s indoor fitness initiative ‘Splash and Dash’ in order to escape the summer heat.

It will enable residents to stay fit throughout the summer months by exercising at their own pace within the air-conditioned Aspire Dome. They will also get a chance to prepare for the upcoming aquathon and trithalon series.
